CBD Products Work to Minimize Effects of Chronic Pain

CBD in flowers, oils, and gels and creams

A CDC.gov report about chronic pain states that “In 2016, an estimated 20.4% of U.S. adults had chronic pain and 8.0% of U.S. adults had high-impact chronic pain. Both were more prevalent among adults living in poverty, adults with less than a high school education, and adults with public health insurance.”

That is roughly 50 million people who suffer from Chronic Pain.  The study finds that “Chronic pain has been linked to numerous physical and mental conditions and contributes to high health care costs and lost productivity. A limited number of studies estimate that the prevalence of chronic pain ranges from 11% to 40%.”  With so much know about the rates of chronic pain, there is a national movement to help people find relief through treatment plans that identify or stop the causes or provide relief if the cause cannot be treated efficiently.  This is where some people have turned to CBD supplements.

The cell-signaling system known as the endocrinologist system (ECS) reacts to cannabidiol (CBD).  One effect is a decrease in pain.  For this reason, people try using CBD to reduce their pain.  Many find success and incorporate CBD into their regiments.  CBD can be a viable alternative for those who suffer from chronic pain.  Instead of needing to take medications, such as opioids, that can be addictive, they can use all-natural CBD.   That being said, there needs to be more research to confirm the pain-relieving effects of CBD products.

CBD interacts with a component of the ECS according to some researchers.  Endocannabinoid receptors exist in your brain and immune system.  This is believed to cause an anti-inflammatory response.  With few side effects, some claim CBD is effective in lessening their chronic pain.  Anti-inflammation usually refers to a reduction in pain.  This could be for someone who suffers from arthritis, menstruation, or other chronic pain.  CBD is also taken by those who endure pain due to cancer, neuropathic pain, and fibromyalgia.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) suggests that CBD may be an option to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy such as pain, vomiting, and lack of appetite.   Some migraine patients have taken CBD supplements to reduce the magnitude of an attack.

There has not been conclusive scientific research of the benefits of CBD or CBD oil, but anecdotal evidence shows quite positive results for pain relief.  Some people give CBD for pain relief products to their pets.

CBD is not a cure-all.  Talk to your doctor prior to taking any supplements.  CBD lessens pain and has been taken as a means of reducing inflammation.  It is often purchased by those suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis, epilepsy, anxiety, and multiple sclerosis.

CBD products can be taken in different ways.  We sell CBD in flowers, oils, and gels and creams.  NRX Solutions focuses on the holistic care approach in developing our goods.  Many consumers choose this product for pain relief over prescription medication or to relieve some side effects of those medications.  Talk with your doctor today about adding CBD products to your regimen.
